The Super bowl; it's like Christmas for Marketers

The Super bowl is cool sure there's Beyoncé and fireworks and some great music but for Marketers it's way more than that. It's like Christmas for us...why? Well, The Super Bowl is the biggest viewing event in the United States, whether you are a fan of football or not and it's getting bigger here in Australia too. Since well were a nation of sporting loving folks even if I'm told there's not much sport being played at the Super bowl.
For me I'm not watching the Super Bowl for football since to be honest I could care less about Australian football let alone American but the ads!!! With marketing being so fragmented these the super Bowl is one event that allows brands to get in front of millions of consumers in one sitting, generate brand awareness and maximize their impact across all generations. Marketers everywhere are eager to see which content creators (celebrities, models, influencers, etc.) will be making a special appearance or what brand/product will be featured.
This year $6.5 million was spent on advertising and with the super bowl being one of the only opportunities to reach a live audience this year it did not disappoint!
